DofE requires an average commitment of at least 1 hour per week spread continuously over the chosen timescale (6 or 12 months). You cannot condensed all theory into two months and "stop" for DofE purposes - the entire period must form one continuous, unbroken program where theory naturally transitions into practical driving lessons.


Key Execution Rules for eDofE Logging

  1. Single Continuity: The pupil must select "Learning to Drive" as their activity at the start and list their Approved Driving Instructor (Darryl Gray ADI 426902) as the Assessor.

  2. Unbroken Log Entries: The pupil records 1 hour per week for the first 8 weeks (Theory), and then logs 2-hour weekly / bi-weekly practical lessons for the remainder.

  3. Assessor Sign-Off: The Approved Driving Instruction verifies both the theory preparation phase and the practical driving progress in the final eDofE report upon completion.
DofE 3 Month Silver Skills

3-Month Silver "Accelerated" Package (12 Hours + Private Practice)

 Target Audience: Pupils with access to a family car for private practice between professional lessons.

 Lesson Schedule: 2 hours bi-weekly + minimum 2–3 hours private practice weekly (Log total: 36–48 hours overall).

 Structure:

 Weeks 1–4: ADI covers foundations (controls, steering, clutch, stopping); pupil practices car control in quiet areas with family.

 Weeks 5–8: ADI teaches complex junctions, roundabouts, and maneuvers; pupil reinforces muscle memory in private practice.

 Weeks 9–12: ADI conducts mock test evaluations and refines advanced skills; private practice focuses on independent route following.

6-Month Silver Direct / Gold "Standard Test-Ready" Package (48 Hours Total)

 Target Audience: Beginners looking for a complete, structured path to passing their practical test within 6 months.

 Structure:

 Months 1–2 (16 Hours): Vehicle setup, main controls, junctions, crossroads, and basic maneuvers.
